New on the Architect Capability Development Resources page

In the Architecture Management column: some guides have been tidied up a bit, though they are not our main focus.

In the Software Architecture column: the new lightweight guide to “Data Abstraction Layers” contains a little anti-object bigotry.

Sorry, the new “System/Software Engineering Patterns” guide is too good to be published on the web site!

Business rules analysis and specification

Publication of two guides on this has been postponed, because the 70 pages are as dense as a speech by Rowan Williams.

Anyway, there are already too many ways to specify business rules, using various kinds of model and tool.

Email if you would like to review the guides.

Private training for customers in 2008

Most private training courses are based on the public System/Solution Architecture course (a kin to the old TA2, for those who remember that).

Training for AO architects is a 5-day residential course that includes also half of the Software Architecture Foundations course (a kin to the old TA1).

The training material has evolved since the days of TA1 and TA2 and is aligned with industry standards.
